Located in Santa Monica, this ground-up residential project—designed by architect Ken Ungar—allowed KB Studio to develop the home’s interior architectural details, custom millwork, and overall interior environment from the earliest stages of the project. The design approach carefully balances clean classical architecture with a vibrant and thoughtfully curated interior palette.

At the client’s request, the interiors incorporate a fresh mix of color, art, and texture to create a dynamic contrast to the home’s refined architectural framework. The result is a space that feels both lively and sophisticated while remaining highly functional for everyday family living.

Working in collaboration with Los Angeles–based artisans and designer Calderon Bilbao from Europe, KB Studio crafted a cohesive yet eclectic home that reflects a layered, global sensibility. The finished residence seamlessly blends traditional architectural elements with the relaxed elegance and warmth of the California lifestyle.
