Located in Holmby Hills, this historic 1920s Spanish Revival residence embodies the timeless character of Southern California architecture. KB Studio led the transformation of the property through a thoughtful redevelopment and expansion, carefully building upon the original structure while preserving the design integrity and architectural language of the home.

The project introduced a new second level featuring an expansive primary suite, along with a detached guest ADU, significantly enhancing the home’s functionality while maintaining the scale and proportions of the original residence. Throughout the design process, great care was taken to ensure that each new addition felt seamlessly integrated with the historic architecture.

Authentic materials and traditional craftsmanship played a central role in the home’s revival. Hand-applied plaster walls, custom Malibu tile work, and reclaimed terra cotta elements were thoughtfully incorporated to reflect the spirit of the original 1920s Spanish Revival design. The result is a home that honors its historic roots while offering a refined and comfortable environment for modern family living.
